Redwood Music Kid Camp

July 20th–31st, 2026 – 10am–3pm Monday–Friday

A two-week day camp for young musicians ages 7-13

Two-week day camp for young musicians

Children learn to play Celtic folk music in a small and supportive environment. They also learn to make their own bamboo flute, and have plenty of play time! Students practice and perform in instrument-specific groups, and with the entire camp. For players of fiddle, flute, penny whistle, recorder, clarinet, harp, autoharp, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, accordion, keyboards, percussion, Irish tenor banjo, and cello. A final concert will be presented to family and friends on Saturday, August 1st at 10am.

Musical proficiency: Campers should have basic proficiency on their instrument, with a suggested minimum of two years playing experience on violin, and one year's playing experience on other instruments. For more information on the camp, or on playing ability requirements, please email Susan.

This is the type of community of kindness that I was hoping my kids would find.

Since we’ve been home [my kid] keeps playing all the new music she learned. The camp had really a great impact on her. She had a really good time.
