Learn and perform the folk music of Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, and more. Students practice and perform in instrument-specific groups, in small bands, and with the entire ensemble. For players of fiddle, flute, pennywhistle, recorder, oboe, harp, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, accordion, keyboards, percussion, Irish tenor banjo, and cello. Participants must be proficient on one of the above instruments and have played for at least two years. For more information on the camps and playing ability requirements, please email Shelley.
Early Bird rate: $750 (if registered and paid for by March 31st)
Spend all day playing music in the redwoods, and have a great time playing your instrument, singing, dancing, sessioning and improv-ing every night! Program includes all meals and boarding. Bring bedding, clothes (including a jacket), towel, toiletries, bug repellant, sunscreen, your instrument, and music stand. Costumes may be useful, as well as other fun things for the ceilidh/talent show.
Scholarships: Partial need-based scholarships are available. Teens should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, with a brief introduction and a summary of your need. Deadline for requesting scholarship funding is Saturday, May 25, 2019.
